Using Java Android, I am trying to find a way to do recognition of the face with camera given picture.
This SDK has been deprecated and been replaced by Microsoft.Azure.CognitiveServices.Vision.Face which is a part of Azure SDK. This repo contains the Windows client library & sample for the Microsoft Face API, an offering within Microsoft Cognitive Services, formerly known as Project Oxford. Facial detection and recognition. Facial recognition on images and video. They prefer to build complete solutions in-house than license the SDK to integrators or outside developers. No emotion analysis. No Cloud API. SDK only, also delivered as a hardware appliance to integrators. Very difficult to find any information about.
Any ideas? Does anyone have any API suggestions?

Here are some links that I found on face recognition libraries.

macgyver offers face detection programs via a simple to use API.
The program below takes a reference to a public image and will return an array of the coordinates and dimensions of any faces detected in the image.

You can try Microsoft's Face API. It can detect and identify people. learn more about face API here.

You use class media.FaceDetector in android to detect face for free.

That would probably be Aureus3Dv from CyberExtruder. Disclaimer, I’m Aureus3Dv’s lead developer.
Having both an API and an SDK means the software provides both a means of communicating and operating the software over Internet connections (the API) using REST communications, as well as a means of writing your own compiled applications using the libraries of AureusSDK.
The Aureus3D FR Engine is an industry leader, with the SDK licensed and used as core technology in multiple enterprise FR products from major FR vendors.
Aureus3Dv is a stand alone FR application and REST API server, able to process 380+ still image and video formats, as well as any USB Camera, or RTSP streaming IP Camera.
As far as being able to recognize a person from a set - how’s about being able to process 25 million face compares per second per 3.4 GHz core? That’s enough to process crowds in motion in real time from multiple camera angles.
We can do things like scan archival video multiple times faster than real time, identify desired individuals, as well as identify and track anyone they interacted to determine if they are an associate or simply someone in the same location at the same time.
We can also integrate with the largest number of 3rd party systems, and if not already, very easily via our Export Connector system which creates bridges to communicate through unknown formats with external systems via HTTP as well as other basic and established means of communication.
We’re also continually advancing, as we compete and are in the top spots every year at the NIST Face Recognition Vendor Test while offering our solution commercially, as compared to the majority of the competition enter research algorithms unavailable commercially.
